Cinque Terre

This morning we were up much earlier than a normal morning. We had to be at the train station by 7:15AM. Let me just say I took a nap on the bus. We boarded the bus to the first town of Manarola. We skipped the town of Rimaggiore because it was too small for the bus to go through. We did get to see the amazing views of the main port when traveling to Manarola. Manarola was a cute town. It was small. All of the towns we visited were small. Manarola had by far the best view. It had a view looking over the sea, and then a view of all the colored houses. It made you think it was summer with all the bright colors. We did not stay in this town long before boarding the train to Corniglia. In corniglia we walked around and ate our snacks before hiking to Vernazza. This town again was small. It had some cute shops, and some pretty views but that is about it.

Our hike was well challenging. It shows how out of shape I am (haha). It was on the other hand very peaceful. We saw amazing views of all of the towns from the tops of the mountains, and then we climbed up and down many flights of stairs. We were surrounded by beautiful greenery too. It was a nice hike because it was just the right temperature, but you got a work out too. The total length of the hike was about an hour. Once reacing Vernazza we immediately ate lunch. A group of us went to lunch and split the sea food spaghetti. The pasta was very good it had clams, mussels, and shrimp. I can never get enough sea food. After lunch, we boarded the boat to Monterosso. This was the last stop on our list. We spent time exploring old and new Monterosso. We went in little shops, walked along the beach, and enjoyed the day. Ashley and I went to a coffee shop and enjoyed a cappuccino with a pastry before heading back to Florence. It was an exhausting day, but well worth it to see the five lands.
