The Boboli Gardens

Today we visited the Boboli Gardens. These gardens are located in Palazzo Piti. We traveled to the gardens in between our classes. It was a beautiful day. The nice part about the gardens is the short walk and we get in free. The gardens were absolutely beautiful. You could get lost in them for a couple of hours. When entering the gardens you walk across what looks to be an old amphitheater to a pond with a beautiful statue in it. We were lucky enough to see a beautiful heron sitting on it. The heron was just starring back at us. We continue to just gaze around the pond for a moment, and take in our surroundings. As we walked to the other side of the pond we noticed a lady carrying many bags. She was there to feed all the birds. They knew her very well. We watched the flock of birds for a moment, and then decided to explore.

Our exploration was just a random pathway we chose; man did we choose the right one. As I was shooting many pictures we came across the building. I was not paying much attention, I rounded the corner, and boom there was Florence. It was so beautiful; I was taken back by it. I was not expecting to round the corner and see the beautiful city and the mountains surrounding the city. After taking in the city for a while, we hiked down a pathway, which looked like part of a maze. It was so cool. It was one of those things where it makes you question what path do I take?

Finally, we headed back to class. Although I am sure I will be back. I can’t wait to see these beautiful gardens in the spring.
