A little taste of Tuscany

This paste weekend we all got a little taste of Tuscany, as I like to call it. Well I mean, outside of the capital of Tuscany, Florence. A group of about 8 of us traveled to Pisa and Lucca. Lucca is a small town close to Pisa. Many others and myself took the “typical” tourist picture with the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I mean how could you pass up the opportunity. The nice thing about Pisa is it is a quick little stop. You do not need the whole day to look around the city. It isn’t very big anyways. Pisa is only about two football fields in size. We were just in the square however. After taking out tourist pictures with the tower, we traveled inside The Cathedral. We experienced a beautiful singer in front of Mary. The security guards shortly ended it though man they ruin everything.

After our cappuccino in Pisa, we headed back to the bus to Lucca. Our bus took us up the beautiful countryside over looking the beautiful valley below. Pictures could not do this sight justice. When arriving in Lucca we were all starving, but we managed to walk through the square. The square had a carousel, an ice skating rink, and beautiful buildings surrounding it. We managed to find a cute little pizza place for lunch. After our lunch, we took a tour of the little city of Lucca. We were blessed to see the unique architecture of the city, the church of San Michele, the amphitheater, and tour the beautiful city itself. Finally, the day ended with ice-skating in Lucca. Whoever thought I would find ice-skating in Europe and especially in Lucca. It truly could not have been a more perfect day!
