A Date with David

Today I had a date with the most handsome man in the world, David. He has magnificent buns of steal. You could admire him for hours. If you don’t know who I am talking about yet, silly you, it is the statue of David created by the one and only Michael Angelo. A few of us went to admire the beautiful work of art in between our classes. Kent State was nice enough to get us museum passes to all of the museums in the surrounding area. As students we get in free, woohooo.

Speaking of being a student, classes have been going well. I am taking an Intercultural Communication class, Italian class, Comparative Media class, Art History class, and Multicultural Learning class. So far my favorite class has been Italian. I have this cute professor name Nicoletta. She teaches us Italian, and we teach her American phrases. Today for class we went to the conad (the grocery store) for class. In another class our professor took us out for ge

lato! I’m excited for this semester! Kent also provides us with a free cooking class, piano concert, tour of the Gucci museum, and other activities around Florence.

Food for thought: we had our first home cooked meal! A bunch of us came over to our place and had a wonderful Greek salad, pasta with vodka sauce, and fresh vegetables! It was a great way to bond with Kent students. Later that night we couldn’t skip the gelato, and went to a local bar to watch the soccer game. Many of us have already hiked to the top of Michael Angelo, visited Ponte Vecchio, and are starting to build bonds to last a lifetime!

Italian of the day:

Piacere: Nice to meet you

Carro: Expensive
